Welcome to my blog!

I started with Flash in the rough ages of Flash 4. Coming from a multimedia background (music) i felt instantly attracted by the creative power of flash and still get a big grin when i see some really nice Flash pages (like whalehunt).

In June 2009 I quit my job as Technical Lead Developer at bwin, a sports betting and entertainment company located in Vienna, Austria. I was working in a team of 9 Flex developers and our main project was the bwin livebetting page, a huge Flex application with about 180 000 lines of code. During development we have been challenged with serious performance issues and memory leaks. Some of the learnings at working on a large scale Flex project are reflected in some posts here.

After that I moved to Barcelona, Spain and was working 4 years at the Spreadbetting Application for CMC Markets, London: http://www.cmcmarkets.co.uk. (Flex, Java, Dart)

From 2013 on I worked on a few iOS projects and started in 2014 with Bitsquare a P2P Bitcoin exchange.

Enjoy reading!
Manfred
